Over one hundred alumni and staff, many of whom were in town for the annual Lobby Days, enjoyed a great evening at Jordan's 8 near Eastern Market on Feb. 22. We had the whole upstairs of the restaurant/bar to ourselves, with plenty of food and good times to go around. Host Commitee members Jeremiah Baumann, Matthew Davis, Gene Karpinski, Athan Manuel, Laurie Moskowitz, Lucinda Sikes, Justin Tatham, Jessy Tolkan, and Bill Wasserman really helped make it a terrific event. Alumni Matt Baker and Carrie Doyle generously hosted Colorado alumni, staff, and their families for a fabulous backyard barbecue on Saturday, Sept. 26. Adults and kids alike enjoyed the beautiful patios and garden, plus all the delicious food and great company. Thanks to Host Committee members Alana Campbell, Jennifer Coken, Frank Dean & Megan Seibel, Jon Goldin-Dubois, Pete Maysmith, Rich McClintock, Kirpal Singh, Robin Villa, Rex Wilmouth, and Amy Winter for helping to pull off such a fun event for everyone. Portland, OR
Oregon alumni and staff gathered for the first (official) time in years on Sept. 17 for a fantastic evening of touring, tasting, and catching up. OSPIRG's very first Executive Director, alumnus Steve McCarthy, graciously hosted the group for a tour and tasting at his NW Portland Clear Creek Distillery, where the group enjoyed their signature eau de vie (brandy) made exclusively from Oregon fruit.
