Position description
- Works closely with
the executive director and the board of directors to develop and implement a
comprehensive fundraising plan to sustain and expand philanthropic support for
the organization.
- Plans and executes
all components of the fundraising including: individual giving, corporate
sponsorships, foundation grants, major gifts, and special events.
- Plans and executes
donor communication and stewardship activities.
- Maintains and
manages donor database (Microsoft Access) and prepares fundraising reports for
the executive director and the board of directors.
- Organizes and
implements administrative systems to ensure effective and efficient development
efforts, including recruiting and managing volunteers.
- Records, processes,
and acknowledges gifts.
- Represents the
organization to Community Shares, a federated giving
campaign.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Two or more years of
experience in nonprofit fund development and/or
communications
- Broad knowledge of
current issues in nonprofit fundraising and donor
communications
- Superior written and
verbal communication skills
- A strong personal
commitment to Citizens Project’s mission
- Proficiency in
Microsoft Office software including Access
- Bachelor’s degree or
equivalent
