We are seeking a development professional to assist the Rose Foundation in increasing its support from all streams of revenue. In addition to helping develop and diversify the Foundation’s funding, the position also entails assisting in administering grant awards to other community-based organizations.

The Rose Foundation is a grantmaking public charity dedicated to encouraging community involvement in environmental stewardship and nurturing positive interactions between communities, the environment and the economy. The Foundation’s work emphasizes building community power and encouraging corporate and government accountability. Its environmental, consumer protection, fiscal sponsorship and donor-advised grantmaking programs annually award approximately $2 million. The Foundation also conducts national advocacy programs related to sustainable investing, and is developing New Voices Are Rising, an environmental justice and civic engagement program for West Oakland youth. The office is 2 blocks from the Rockridge BART station in Oakland, California.
Job Summary
The Development Director/Program Associate’s primary responsibility (80% FTE) is to oversee all aspects of fundraising activities at the Rose Foundation, including work with foundations and individual donors. He or she will create and implement the Foundation’s fund development plan in consultation with the Executive Director and President. The balance of the position (20% FTE) will involve grantmaking, research, or program assistance. The position reports to the Executive Director and works collaboratively with other staff on fundraising activities.

$45,000 - $60,000
