  • Environmental Protection Agency works to protect human health and to safeguard the natural environment. Good source for environmental publications, current EPA projects, and general tips for children and adults on how to improve the environment.
     
    • Clean Air Act. This page lists the sections of the Clean Air Act as amended in 1990.
       
    • The Plain English Guide To The Clean Air Act The perfect site for anyone who lacks the patience and knowledge to decipher the technical language of the actual Clean Air Act, but who would like to know what it means for the environment.
       
    • EPA's Air Links A comprehensive web site at EPA's Office of Air & Radiation for quick access to "what's new this week", "breaking news", and "hot topic" air and radiation information.
       
    • Office of Air Quality Planning & Standards provides information on OAQPS programs and outputs as well as public access to all OAQPS data and products.
       
    • US EPA Region 1 (Northeast) Ozone Mapping System Real-time images and forecasts of ground-level ozone levels for Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
    • California Real-Time Air Pollution Data contains links to California based web sites providing updated information on air quality, ozone, and other information.
  • California Air Resources Board. Their mission is to "promote and protect public health, welfare and ecological resources through the effective and efficient reduction of air pollutants while recognizing and considering the effects on the economy of the state." Site contains air quality data, environmental software, and consumer buying guides.
  • South Coast Air Quality Management District. Smog control agency for all or portions of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties of California. Provides information on transportation programs, clean air technology, clean air plans and much more. Also contains a special section for children.
  • Florida Division of Air Resources Management. Features statistical summaries of ambient (ground-level) air monitoring data.
  • The American Lung Association works to ensure that everyone can breathe easier, with a mission designed to prevent lung disease and promote lung health. Site is great resource for information on asthma and other lung diseases, tobacco control, and environmental health. For more specific information, visit their legislative update.
