Student
Aid
As the price of tuition skyrockets, it's becoming increasingly
difficult for the average American to afford a college education.
The state PIRGs' Higher Education Project works to secure
more aid for students, with a focus on additional grants,
reduced debt, and better service to students in the federal
financial aid system.

Student
Rights
In an effort to create an informed and enlightened democracy,
built on civic participation, the State PIRGs opposes
any restrictions
on students' rights to engage in our democracy, including
the ability to form, fund and direct their own organizations
on campus.

Student
Voting
Young people vote at the lowest rate of any age group,
a fact which threatens the health of our democracy. The State
PIRGs are founding board members of Youth Vote and are part
of the seventy-five national organizations representing hundreds
of organizations and millions of young people in the Youth
Vote coalition. Youth Vote is the nation's largest non-partisan
coalition working to increase the political involvement of
the 50 million Americans who are 18-30 years old.
