Background: Adam Lioz is a democracy advocate for U.S. PIRG. Since 2001, he has worked on numerous campaign finance and good government issues, focusing primarily on advocating for policies that reduce the influence of wealthy donors and benefit ordinary citizens, small political contributors, and non-wealthy candidates. Mr. Lioz has authored or edited eight reports on campaign finance and has been quoted, published, or featured in national media outlets such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, the Associated Press, Fox News, CNN and NPR.
In addition to his work with the state PIRGs’ Democracy Program, Adam currently sits on the Boards of Directors of the PennPIRG Education Fund and TheRestofUs.org, an upstart campaign finance reform organization. He is also completing studies for a JD from Yale Law School. At Yale, Adam is a founding member of both the Yale Law School Social Change Network and YIPPIE!, the Yale Incentive Program for Public Interest Employment. Before working for U.S. PIRG, Mr. Lioz he worked as a preservation advocate for almost three years.
