Background: Mr. Dutzik is senior policy analyst with Frontier Group.
He
is
primary author of more than two dozen reports including "Toward a
Consumer-Oriented Electric System," an analysis of the impacts of
electric industry restructuring on consumers, commissioned by the
National
Commission
on Energy Policy "Making Sense of Hydrogen," a primer for states on
policy issues surrounding the use of hydrogen as a vehicle fuel and
numerous reports on the air quality and environmental benefits of
California's vehicle emission standards.
Mr. Dutzik was a featured
speaker at the 2005 New England Energy Forum organized by the National
Commission on Energy Policy and the New England Council. His work has
been cited in The New
York
Times, The Wall Street Journal, and many regional and trade press outlets.
Prior to his current position, he worked as a reporter for the
Eagle-Tribune
newspaper of Lawrence, Mass., as a political writer for the State PIRGs in
Boston, and as a campus organizer for NJPIRG. While at the
Eagle-Tribune,
he
was co-winner of the 2001 New Hampshire Press Association first-place
award for best general news story for an article on education policy.
